     Lowell A. Walker was born on 4 March 1905 in Indiana.² He married first Lottie Flory about 1925.¹ He married second Ellen G. (?) (license dated August 1959) in St. Joseph Co., Indiana.³ He died on 5 October 1967 in Inwood, Marshall Co., Indiana, at age 62 from a heart attack.² He was buried on 8 October 1967 at Stony Point Cemetery in Clunette, Kosciusko Co., Indiana.^2,4
     He and his wife Lottie adopted Edward Towne, biological son of Edward Pontarelli and Ione Elizabeth Town, shortly after his birth in 1929, and his name was changed to Nelson Edward Walker.⁵ In the 1930 census Nelson is listed with them as a lodger, at age 1.¹ The adoption and name change became official on 27 January 1931⁶, and Nelson is listed as their son in the 1940 and 1950 censuses.^7,8
     Lowell and Lottie owned a farm in Scott Twp., Kosciusko Co., from at least 1930 to 1935^1,7, but they lost the farm during the Great Depression.⁹ Lowell was still listed as a farmer in the 1940 census, but they were then renting a farm in Seward Twp., Kosciusko Co.⁷ They later moved to Inwood, Marshall Co., Indiana,⁹ where he worked in construction.⁹ They are listed in Seward Twp., Marshall Co., in the 1950 census⁸, and he was then unemployed.⁸

     Lottie Flory was born on 28 August 1905 in Indiana.² She married Lowell A. Walker about 1925.¹ She died on 7 July 1957 in Plymouth, Marshall Co., Indiana, at age 51 from leukemia.² She was buried on 10 July 1957 at Stony Point Cemetery in Clunette, Kosciusko Co., Indiana.^2,3

     Barbara Ann Propst was born on 4 May 1933 in Liberty Twp., Delaware Co., Indiana.^1,2 She married Nelson Edward Walker, son of Edward Pontarelli and Ione Elizabeth Town, on 21 April 1956 at the Main Street Methodist Church in Muncie, Delaware Co.^3,4 She died on 25 August 2016 at age 83.⁵ She was buried at Florida National Cemetery (Sec 323C, 272) in Bushnell, Sumter Co., Florida.^5,6
     She graduated in 1951 from Central High School in Muncie, Delaware Co., Indiana.⁵
     She and her husband Nelson met at a dance at Lake Manitou near Rochester, Fulton Co., Indiana.⁷ After their marriage they moved to South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana,⁷, then to Marion, Grant Co., Indiana, in 1958⁸ and to Sweetser, Grant Co., in 1969⁸, where she was the office manager at the Sweetser Telephone Co. for 22 years, retiring in 1992.⁵
     She and Nelson moved to Bradenton, Manatee Co., Florida, in 1996.^9,5,7 She volunteered with First Step of Sarasota, and Meals on Wheels of Manatee, and was an active member of the Oneco United Methodist Church in Bradenton.⁵
