DeWitt and Viola Rose Evans, on 11 January 1935 in Martin, Allegan Co., Michigan.1 Marguerite filed for divorce on 14 January 1941, and their divorce was finalized on 8 July 1942 in Tuscola Co., Michigan.4 She died on 10 December 1996 in Arlington, Van Buren Co., Michigan, at age 81.2,5

     Ralph Watson Dunklee was born on 3 July 1902 in Trowbridge Twp., Allegan Co., Michigan.3 He married Jessie Mabel DeWitt, daughter of Oscar J. DeWitt and Viola Rose Evans, on 10 November 1931 in LaGrange Co., Indiana.4 He drowned on 22 June 1937 at age 34 in a shallow drainage creek in Leighton Twp., Allegan Co., Michigan, after suffering an epileptic seizure. He and his brother-in-law Basil DeWitt were working in a beet field, and Ralph wasn't feeling well. One newspaper account says he was washing his feet when he was stricken; another says he was washing his head.3,5,6 He was buried at Miner Cemetery in Martin, Allegan Co., Michigan.7
