     The following biographical information is from my personal research, 2016:
He has no know grave, failed to return from a cross-country flight during WWII. Presumed dead and commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial in Surrey, England.5

     He died on 3 January 2014 in Ontario, Canada, at age 26.2 He was buried in Zion Evangelical United Church Cemetery, Pembroke - Boundary Road, Twp. of Laurentian Valley, Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.2
     In the obituary of Ivan Edgar Schimmens who died 14 April 2005, Ivan's grandson, Christian Schimmens was listed as a survivor.3 Christian Cameron Douglas Schimmens was listed as a survivor in the obituary of Bradley Schimmens who died 23 July 2010.4
