3 Verdict of the Coroners Jury in the death of Wm. A. Shepard.
The Coroner's jury on the death of William A. Shepard, wno was killed at the Hudson street crossing of the New York Central railroad, brought in the following verdict: We find that William Alexander Shepard to his death beng run over by a ??? of the New York Central and Hudson River railroad on the evening of Wednesday, December 5, that death was to be blamed rond, and none of them fero; and this jury further finds that further accidents of a similar kind can only be prevented by increasing the number of watchmen at the several railroad crossings, especiallv the more dangerous ones, among which the Hudson street crossing must be classed; that the attention of the municipal of the city of Rochester should be at once directed to the of a method whereby the citizens can be protected against the occurrence of like accidents in the future.
