GOODELL—Joseph G. Houghton. 71, Houston. Tex., formerly of Goodell and Kanawha, died Friday at his home. Funeral services and burial will be Monday morning at Houston.
Mr. Houghton was born at Goodell. the son of J. B. C. and Rose (Goodrich) Houghton. He , married Beulah Harberts in 1923 at Goodell. They lived at Kanawha after their marriage, and he was a rural mail carrier. In the early 1930's they moved to Houston, where he was a post office employse.
He is survived by his wife, one son. Joe Jr. in California; one daughter, Mrs. Lyle (Daphne) Putnam. Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Ed (Vida) Connor. Marshalltown, and Mrs; Ray (Daphne) Valgora. Omaha..Neb; four brothers, Reginald and Clement, both of Marshalltown; Selwyn. State Center, and Cholm, Glen Ellyn, Ill.
Mrs. Houghton’s brother. Harvey Herberts, lives in Good- ell, and a sister. Mrs. Elmer Anderson, at Klemme.
