Hello! Thanks for replying.
I was perusing your amazing work and wanted to suggest a possible correction.
I think I can supply the correct ascendancy of the 'Charles Frederick Davies' currently listed. At present, he is detailed as b.1799 in Middx, then married in Madras in 1816, and then a Captain of a fighting ship in 1825 combat. That would be very precocious.
I believe the C.F D. described was my relative, born in 1788 to James and Louisa Davies, whose eldest brother died in Naval service. A direct descendant of the first wife that he married in Madras has told me she has always understood this to be the case too. If you like, I could send extra details. Regards, RK
