Navigation Detail

The fundamental type of web page of this website is the “Family Card” which shows, as central, a husband and wife with some of their information. Their children and parents, if known, are shown with basic information.

In a Family Card, clicking on the name of a child or parent goes to the Family Card of that child or parent. In this way, most of this website might be explored by simply navigating between Family Cards.

In a Family Card, clicking on the name of either the central husband or wife goes to a “Person Sheet” with more detailed information about that person.

In a Person Sheet, more detailed information is provided for a selected person from a Family Card. Immediately after some items of information, you may see one or more tiny numbers - each tiny number is the ID number of the source of that item of information.

In a Person Sheet, clicking on one of those tiny source ID numbers goes to the “Sources” list of all of the sources sequentially by source ID number. The clicked source entry will be at the top of the list. Sometimes text information (such as the text of a will) will appear in the source entry. Sometimes there will be a reference to a "file"; clicking on the file reference will display more detail (such as an image). Otherwise, the information in the source entry will usually be sufficient to determine from where an information item was obtained.

In a Family Card, a husband or wife with more than one spouse will show the word "spouses" followed by a series of two or more numbers corresponding to each spouse. Clicking on any of the numbers will go to the Family Card with that spouse.

In a Person Sheet for a husband or wife with more than one spouse, the information for all spouses will be shown.

In a Family Card or "Person Sheet", clicking on the tiny family tree icon after the name of a person goes to an up-to-five generation “Tree” chart of the ancestors of that person. Clicking on the name of an ancestor goes to a Tree chart of further ancestors of that ancestor to the limits of the database.

In a Family Card or "Person Sheet", clicking on the tiny camera icon after the name of the person goes to the “Media” list of other images related to that person. In the Family Card, clicking on the picture of a person (if present) goes to the same thing.
