1102Henry bought a warrant for 170 acres on March 16, 1737 in Lower Milford Township adjoining the Great Swamp Creek - one can still see the cellar of the house built by Ritter in 1739. A section of log with the date of 1739 inscribed, was taken from the ruins of the house and supposedly it has been turned over to the Lehigh County Historical Society. As of this date, the historical society does not know it's whereabouts. John Ritter sold his land to Lawrence Erbach in 1764 and relocated to Salisbury Township, Lehigh County, PA where he purchased 280 acres. In 1752 this same land was patented to John Reisweig. This land is now a part of the Queen City Airport and near the Lehigh Parkway in Allentown. He was an Elder of the western Salisbury Jerusalem Lutheran Church congregation.
