After Joseph Hanks Sr. died, his widow Nancy and his son Joseph Jr. sold the Nelson Co., KY property to another son, William, in 1794. Nancy and Joseph Jr. went to Rockingham Co., VA where Nancy’s family lived. After Nancy died, Joseph Jr. returned to Nelson Co. KY.333
